A Catholic Elementary PreK3–8th Grade School in the Heart of Boston.
Dear Prospective Families,
Welcome to St. John School in the North End of Boston. We have been providing private, Catholic education for the past 130 years. Rooted in a historical contribution of Italian immigrant families, the school has dedicated itself to providing a rigorous academic program coupled with a deep commitment to a faith based value system. We believe each and every child deserves to experience a loving community who supports a steadfast work ethic, service to others, and an understanding that his/her individual gifts and talents can be used to better the larger community and world.
Our mission is Be, Belong, Become.
Students at St. John are encouraged to Be the best version of themselves through a strong ELA and Math program coupled with a collaborative STEM program. We balance educational programs for the body, mind, heart, and soul incorporating arts, athletics, and community service into our program.
Students are encouraged to Belong through a variety of enrichment activities such as Yoga, Pottery, Chess, Chinese language study and more. We emphasize inclusivity, acceptance, and the idea that everyone has a place within the school community. and can evolve into their best selves.
Students are encouraged to Become the rising stars they are with goals set high and future plans in tact. We emphasize intellectual inquiry as well as a dedication to engagement with the larger community. We encourage students to strive for excellence, learn, and transform.
As we embark on a five year strategic plan, we invite you to come and experience the vibrant classes, innovative Science projects and theatrical productions such as WIlly Wonka and Annie. The city of Boston is at our fingertips and serves as an exploratory adventure in places such as the Museum of Science, MIT Museum, and The Freedom Trail.
Our trajectory of education for Pre-K students to 8th grade allows for a continuity of excellence in education.
Come Be, Belong, and Become with us!
Warmly,
Annmarie Quezada
